I am searching for new golf clubs without getting fitted by a golf pro. Is it worth buying a good set now or settle for a cheap set worth only $200.00? The reason for not wanting to get fitted by a golf pro is, all the recommendation’s he may offer I don’t need to spend on.

Do golf clubs get ruined if played during the the cold winter weather?

Would my golf clubs get damaged and/or break if I played during the NY winter weather? (I can’t afford to fly to warmer climate states so I’m stuck here for now until spring comes along)
